About Agents
Agents are your support team members who handle conversations in Chatwoot. They can:
- View and respond to conversations
- Access assigned inboxes
- Use canned responses and shortcuts
- Manage their availability status
Role Differences
Agent: Can handle conversations, access assigned inboxes, and manage their own profile.
Administrator: Full access to all features including settings, team management, and reporting.
Invitation Process
After creation, the agent will receive an email invitation to set up their account. They need to confirm their email and set a password before they can start using Chatwoot.
